Hey, I'm Krzysiek.
Come in, the door's open.
"Success in creating AI could be the biggest event in the history of our civilization. Or the worst." - Stephen Hawking

"The cool thing is that, living in a small town, you can create something that gets used all over the world."
The radio has always been on at my place
I've been falling asleep and waking up to the radio since I was a kid. Radio has stayed with me - these days I fall asleep and wake up with Replaio on my mind.
The clock radio from my parents - that's where it all started
Replaio turned into something more than an app: work I enjoy, new friendships, good memories. What I like most is the thought that anywhere in the world, someone nearby might have it on their phone.
The desk and what gets made on it
Code, systems for companies, ad campaigns, graphics, video - everything gets made at this desk. Every icon is a different drawer. Click around.
Coffee first
I used to laugh at this, and now every day at the office starts with coffee.

I'm a gadget geek
I got fascinated by what a smart home running on Home Assistant can do. And seriously, it's not just fun - it's also really convenient.
Try it live
real recordings from my Home Assistant (in Polish - that's how my home speaks). Turn on the sound
My favorite automations:
trigger: the last person leaves the flat
action: the alarm arms, the lock locks, lights and TV go off, music resets
trigger: Mon–Fri, 8:30, nobody home
action: the vacuum cleans the whole flat
trigger: I leave home in the morning and the morning dose hasn't been taken
action: a reminder - over the speakers and as a push
trigger: I come back and the flat is empty
action: the gate barrier opens automatically, the alarm disarms, after dark the lights come on to greet me, and the TV starts the music
trigger: the car has been unlocked for 30 minutes and isn't moving
action: push to my iPhone: "The car has been unlocked for 30 minutes!"
trigger: I unlock the door on my way out
action: a voice message over the speakers lists exactly which windows are open
Frames from a drone and a phone
Every now and then I like to send up the drone, shoot a clip, take a few photos. I've been playing with video editing since the days of VHS and the first versions of Adobe Premiere. It stuck.
It'll make my day if you stop by my Instagram.
My reset
Concerts are how I relax and reset my head. I've always wanted to work behind the scenes of a concert at least once - that one hasn't happened yet.
I was at Game(App)Camp recently
June, Warsaw: the 12th Game(App)Camp Summit at the Google for Startups Campus - two days of apps and mobile games.
Grandpa Marian's garage
My grandpa Marian was a PKS Krosno bus driver. Spa towns were his daily routine, but he drove people all over Poland - and beyond. His routes and mine, on one map:
"Grandpa was born a driver, and you a programmer. You both landed in professions that are passions."

The year Replaio took off
2017, the year Replaio launched. A few clippings from the time when everything was picking up speed.
Leaving already?
An automation is already checking whether any windows were left open. The lights will go out by themselves, the door will lock, and if it's his time - the vacuum will start. Want to talk AI, radio or drones? The intercom works.
